Delete your FilmerQuiz account

This page explains how to request the deletion of your FilmerQuiz account (an app developed by WEBSALIA 1987 S.L.) and all associated data, as required by Google Play and Apple App Store policies.

Steps to delete your account from the app

If you already have an account, you can delete it yourself by following these steps:

  1. Log in to the FilmerQuiz app with your account (email magic link, Google or Apple).
  2. Tap your avatar in the top-right corner to open the user menu.
  3. Tap "Delete account" and confirm by typing the word DELETE.
  4. You will receive confirmation that your account and your data have been deleted. This action is permanent and irreversible.

Data that is deleted

When you request deletion, we permanently remove the following from our databases:

  • Your user account (identifier, email address and role)
  • Your quiz history and scores
  • Your subscription data and Stripe customer references
  • Magic links, active sessions and authentication tokens
  • Personal settings (theme, language, preferences)

Data that may be retained and why

For legal or technical reasons, some data may be retained for a limited period:

  • Access logs (request logs) with IP address anonymised via HMAC: up to 90 days, then automatically deleted.
  • Invoices and payment records linked to a purchase: up to 6 years, due to Spanish tax and commercial law (Law 58/2003 General Tax Law).
  • Backups: deleted data may persist in backups for up to 30 days, after which they are overwritten.

Deletion timeline

Deletions initiated from within the app are immediate. Email requests are completed within a maximum of 30 days, in compliance with Article 17 of the GDPR (right to be forgotten).
